THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 2 AT YEPPOON ON TUESDAY MORNING!
Race 2 Yeppoon 5.12 Hilflager (11/10)
Good looking chestnut who took his form to a new level when last seen winning at Rockhampton and then second at Mackay; been off for 4 months but goes well fresh and has the claim and an inside draw; plenty of positives.
This won’t take much winning so that makes HILFLAGER a strong selection. He remains open to further improvement and both his wins have come over this trip. He can go on to better things so despite the 4 and a half month lay-off he should have the class-edge to take this. Magic Trick has 4 wins from 26 starts and has to be feared. He will be fitter now but does need to better that midfield effort at Emerald to lay a glove on this favourite. Chill The Beer has an overall record of 3 wins from 21 starts and didn’t shape badly when third at Rockhampton last time. If he builds on that he could easily emerge as the main danger to the selection. Hard to see much else getting involved to be honest.

THE AUSSIE NB (SECOND BEST BET) WON OVERNIGHT AND RUNS AT WANGARATTA!
Race 7 Wangaratta 7.00 Coolshot (11/8)
Promising type who ran out a convincing winner on debut before having excuses at Geelong last time; if he bounces back here he should take a lot of catching; should keep improving so big chance again.
The wide draw cost COOLSHOT last time as he was slowly away and then could never really recover. He was only beaten less than 3 lengths and with further progress on the cards he should take all the beating here. I expect him to push forward from a low alley and if he gets into a nice rhythm on the front I don’t think he’ll come back to them. No surprise if he was to go off a shade of odds-on come post time as he has already been well supporters. Unanimous disappointed last time but his previous form looks quite good so if he is at his best he might give the fav a race. Lunar Hero already has 2 wins to his name and while he is more exposed he should certainly be respected in opposition.
