Race 8 Sale 8.00 Deep Blast (11/10)
Promising colt who has improved with every run and asserted in good style late to make the breakthrough at Pakenham last month; low draw here so likely to push forward and go on with it; should be hard to pass.
The low gate gives DEEP BLAST options here but if the lead does present itself I don’t think he’ll hesitate to try and make all. If I’m Cheeky and Velicina break well they might force it and if that’s the case then he will just track them through before looking to get on top late again. Either way he has obvious claims of following up with further improvement on the cards. Thorondor is exposed in comparison but does have a couple of wins to his name. He ran well beaten just half a length last time and if he runs to that sort of level again he won’t be far away. Ameliaranne has some decent form to her name but has been poor the last twice so if she bounces back she could also have some sort of a say.

THE AUSSIE NB (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 5 AT NARROMINE ON THURSDAY!
Race 5 Narromine 6.40 Chestnut Scaffa (13/8)
Good looking sort who arrives here chasing a hat-trick after impressing at Gunnedah and Muswellbrook in recent starts; right attitude for the job and looks well placed to make it three in a row; one to keep safe for now.
From the inside draw CHESTNUT SCAFFA can make all again. He has turned a corner lately taking his form up a notch and if he improves again he should have too much for these under likely positive tactics. Jervis has won here in the past and looks one of the dangers with 2 wins from just 8 starts. Definitely has potential going forward a lot like the selection. Red Kanzi is 2 from 11 but just doesn’t come here in form good enough to see her competitive. She may well bounce back but best watched until she shows something again for me. All The Shops is interesting as he has 2 wins from his last 4 runs and while he can blow out when he is good he would be a serious threat.
