Race 4 Scone 5.35 Nadaraja (1/1)

Promising type who has won both starts since finishing runner-up on debut; 2-2 over this C&D and likely to improve again so should take all the beating; can win this before going on to better things in time; keep very safe.

It’s hard to look past the exciting NADARAJA here as he bids to complete a C&D hat-trick. He thrashed them last time and I think a similar dominant performance is on the cards again here. He is learning on the job and comfortably looks to have the most potential of these. Ceasefire is likely to take up his engagement in Race 8 on the card so Absolute Legend would be the danger. He has just 1 win from 8 starts though and on what we’ve seen I just don’t see him having enough to stop this fav especially with him getting first run. Pandora Blue looks promising with 2 wins from 4 starts but again she might be one for further down the line. Similar comments apply to Glowing Red.

Race 8 Benalla 7.00 Emissary (7/4)

Useful sort who brought strong form from the UK and came with a big run from well off the pace to finish second on debut here, denied just a head at the line; sure to strip fitter now and everything points towards a big run.

Hugo Palmer used to train EMISSARY and he made a bright start Down Under finishing a very close second at Sandown at the start of the month. He will be fitter now and with the promise of more to come he gets a confident vote to go one better. He is a classy horse in the making and should do well going forward. I expect him to be a warm order come post time as 7/4 looks good value at the time of writing. Bartholomeu Dias has 5 wins from 29 starts and is exposed compared to the favourite but should give him something to think about. Needs to better that Caulfield run last time though. Of the rest Starcaster is a useful enough type and can also land some sort of a blow perhaps without getting there.
