Promising type who improved to make the breakthrough at Gold Coast last month, dominating throughout; scope to do better again and looks well placed to follow up; unexposed so looks one to keep safe for now.

The Aussie NAP landed overnight and we head to Ipswich on Thursday as we bid to follow up. NEVER PAID might not be much of a price but that’s with good reason as he was dominate last time. If he reproduces that sort of form back slightly in trip he will be away and gone. He has a low draw and is going to be hard to peg back. Shadow Colour has just 1 win from 17 starts but has finished second 9 times so is very consistent but usually finds one or two too good. Delusional has had less chances but still only the 1 win to her name and she is also going to need to bring her best form to trouble this favourite. Electric Dragon best of the rest and did run well when second at Ipswich last time at least.

Smart filly who created a fairly big impression winning gamely on debut at Moe when last seen back in April; bred to be pretty smart and with usual improvement she is going to take a lot of beating as she bids to make it 2-2.

I’m looking forward to seeing LOVE TAKES TIME out again as she made a perfect start winning on debut at Moe back in April and given time since she could be a very nice prospect in the making. She only actually prevailed by a neck on that occasion but looked sure to improve from it and this looks a good opportunity for her to make it a perfect 2-2. Zoumon also made a winning start at Kyneton but has already been gelded. He looks a nice enough type but may just lack the potential of the favourite. Think Winning has 1 win from 9 starts and is more exposed than the two mentioned but he did run well when second at Bendigo last time so has to enter calculations. La Spezia is best of the rest.
