THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 7 AT NORTHAM ON THURSDAY MORNING!

Race 7 Northam 9.37 Fine Romance (4/5)

Promising filly who ran a big race on debut beaten less than a length at Belmont; improved on that back from a break to go down just half a length here last time; can do better again and this looks a good opportunity.

This looks a good chance for the improving FINE ROMANCE to shed the maiden-tag. She has shaped with plenty of promise in two runs to date and with added fitness on side now she can go one better. I don’t see anything good enough in here to beat her. Indigo Blue had initially looked promising but has become frustrating and will probably run well without being good enough again. English Heritage is a bit more unexposed and had been running well prior to running a bit flat at Belmont last time. If she bounces back she could emerge as the main danger to the selection. Miner Addiction impressed on penultimate start but also needs to bounce back after a disappointing run at Geraldton last time.

Race 6 Kembla Grange 6.25 Conrad (10/11)

Progressive sort who has won 2 of his 4 starts to date and impressed at Hawkesbury last time on his first start for five months; sure to improve on that and looks well placed to follow up; one to keep safe today and going forward.

It’s hard to look past the improving CONRAD here. He impressed last time and if he runs to that sort of level again he will be too good for these. He has only had four starts so has potential to rate a lot higher yet. Born A Warrior has just the 1 win from 17 starts and is second fav so says a lot about the race. He can run well like he did at Rosehill but going to need more to seriously trouble this favourite. Bojack can do better going forward but might need more experience to be seen to best effect. Ka Bling stepped forward to win at Wyong last month but this is tougher again so he needs more to get seriously competitive. Hard to see anything at double-figure odds playing a part.
