THE NAP (BEST BET) WON YESTERDAY AND RUNS AT WOLVERHAMPTON TONIGHT!
Wolverhampton 6.30 Haunted Dream (13/8)
Improving fast judging by his dominant breakthrough win at Chelmsford last week; turned out quickly under a 6lb penalty but promises to do better again and gets a confident vote to follow up especially if settling better.
It was hard not to be taken by the way HAUNTED DREAM won at Chelmsford a week ago. He took a big step forward to win impressively and you’d have to think if he can settle better in the earlier part of his races he is capable of even better yet. He has a 6lb penalty tonight but is hard to oppose off the back of such a dominant victory. Oisin Murphy takes over in the saddle which is obviously no negative. Ulysses colt Odisseo bumped into a nice horse when denied a short head at Kempton last time and had won two previously so looks the danger if he improves again. Astaroth was given a lot to do last time and probably remains at the top of his game so he also has to enter calculations again.

Ludlow 3.50 Ballymilan (2/1)
Likeable mare who has won 2 of her last 3 now and fairly bolted up in rain-softened ground at Worcester last month, staying on strongly in the closing stages; 6lb rise looks fair and she is undoubtedly the one to beat again.
Given BALLYMILAN stumbled quite badly 3 out at Worcester I think you can mark up that performance as she still went on to win by 7 and a half lengths and probably would have done so by more if more fluent over her hurdles. She coped really well with conditions but is also proven on faster ground as she showed when winning at Southwell over the summer. She is a thoroughly likeable mare who looks capable of defying a 6lb rise in this line-up. Imphal should probably be the danger but I’m not convinced by him so it could be Tip Top Cat who poses the biggest question. We haven’t seen him for 224 days though and he may well end up needing the run especially against a race-fit battle-hardened rival.
Daily Double
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Ludlow and Wolverhampton on Thursday.
