Race 5 Gosford 4.35 Freedom Square (1/1)

Likeable type who justified good support to win at Tamworth on penultimate start and was edged out by a good yardstick when a close second at Randwick last time; form good enough to take this out; can improve again up in trip.

I think it’s hard to look past FREEDOM SQUARE here and he should be up to justifying favouritism for Paul Messara and Dylan Gibbons. He has 2 wins and 3 placed efforts from just 6 starts so hasn’t done a great deal wrong and is open to further improvement now going up in trip. He gets the 3kg claim and I’m expecting him to be all the rage in the betting. The horse he lost out to last time Kitzbuhel is a decent yardstick so the form stacks up. Rodrick’s Secret won really well at Goulburn last month but failed to back that up at Hawkesbury and has a bit to prove now. If he bounces back he could be the danger but he is exposed in comparison to this fav. Patrina is comfortably best of the rest.

Good looking chestnut who improved again to make it 2 wins from 4 starts at this track winning over C&D last time, swooping from off the pace; Yendall keeps the ride and looks to have an obvious chance of following up.

This looks a great chance for PRISTINE IMAGE to go back-to-back. He impressed last time picking them up easily from off the speed and a similar scenario should pan out again. He clearly likes this track and can make it a perfect 2-2 over this trip. Till It’s Over is a decent mare in opposition and she should keep him honest having ran well when second to Groovy Kinda Love at Ballarat. That form good enough to make her a danger here so one to watch out for. Poppy Joan has only had 4 starts and will have more to come so she is comfortably best of the rest. Billy Mav is looking pretty exposed now but is proven over this trip so might be thereabouts but only in place terms.
