THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) WON OVERNIGHT AND RUNS AT MURRAY BRIDGE!

Race 2 Murray Bridge 3.25 French Fields (5/4)

Good looking chestnut mare who improved to make the breakthrough over track and trip last month and has scope to progress again so very much one to keep on side against these; sure to go close with more to come.

The Aussie NAP landed overnight so we head into Wednesday with confidence high and FRENCH FIELDS can follow up. She clearly likes this C&D with a win and a second from just 3 attempts and with further improvement to come she can visit the winners enclosure again. Virtue has a similar profile with 1 win from 9 starts but her recent three runs haven’t been good enough since going close at Sale. She needs to bounce back to have a say in the finish here. Beerz With Clint is exposed compared to the front pair and only has 1 win from 27 starts. He has placed 9 times though so likely will hit the frame again. Shellshocked needs to improve but is unexposed so looks best of the rest.

Race 5 Hawkesbury 5.20 Five Crowns (13/8)

Likeable type who is a perfect 2-2 after winning on debut at Muswellbrook and then following up convincingly at Newcastle last time; sure to keep improving with experience and looks well placed to bring up the hat-trick.

I think it’s hard to look past the unbeaten FIVE CROWNS here and I’m surprised he isn’t favourite over Dynasties. He showed a good attitude to prevail narrowly on debut at Muswellbrook and then backed that up again to win really well at Newcastle last time. This tougher again but certainly trending the right way and can complete the hat-trick under Gibbons. Dynasties also made a bright start winning on debut at Newcastle but was beaten last time and while she has potential too she might just be bumping into a more progressive rival here. Shaka Rock is best of the rest with 2 wins from 13 starts to his name. Doesn’t look in the class of the top 2 though so has his work cut out to land a blow.
