Sedgefield 1.12 Cilluirid (13/8)
Taken form up a notch recently thrashing a dual subsequent winner when opening chase account here in September and made it 2 from 4 over fences winning easily again here last time; 4lb well-in under a penalty so obvious shout.
This looks another good opportunity for the well handicapped CILLUIRID to strike. He slammed Brother Pat by some 7 lengths here in September and that horse has gone on to win his next two since by a combined 23 lengths so the form couldn’t really look any better. He looked a bit one paced at Market Rasen next time out but was very much back to his best here last time pouring it on late. He is turned out quickly under a penalty and is 4lb well-in so should prove hard to beat. Little Orange was back on track when second at Kelso and he should appreciate this trip so looks the danger. Raecius Felix shaped better than previous efforts when third at Musselburgh so is also worth respecting.

Market Rasen 1.40 Chilli Filli (7/4)
Smart mare who was last seen winning convincingly at Perth in April, staying on strongly; beat Casablanca Mix in this race last year; good record fresh so hard to oppose and looks the one they all have to beat again.
I can’t see how CHILLI FILLI won’t be hard to beat here. She won this last year from Casablanca Mix and was last seen in winning form at Perth. She is a tough mare who goes well fresh and she has plenty going for her. Casablanca Mix does look the danger again and it wouldn’t surprise me if they finished the 1-2. Momella was behind the selection at Perth and has ground to make up but is comfortably best of the rest. Win My Wings is in good form and is a better chaser than hurdler so might run well for a long way but this is likely to become gruelling in the closing stages. Midnightreferendum can’t be entirely ruled out but she should come on for the run and is passed over on this occasion.
