NAP – Best selection of the evening
Cheltenham 3.35 Sporting John (15/8)
Stayed on well and quickened up in good style to win here last month following a wind op; likely to improve again from that and up just 5lb looks hard to oppose again in this field; remains unexposed over this trip.
This very much revolves around SPORTING JOHN and given he is likely to improve from that win here last month he is hard to get away from. He is a classy individual and he went up through the gears impressively to beat Onagatheringstorm last time. The handicapper has reacted raising him 5lb but that shouldn’t be enough to stop him and he is by far and away the most likely winner for me. Botox Has goes up in trip after disappointing here last time and needs to bounce back to land a blow. The Wrekin won three times over hurdles last season and didn’t shape badly behind Art Approval last month so might emerge as the main danger to the selection but does need to improve.

Doncaster 1.40 Emir Sacree (11/4)
Made all the running to win impressively on return on debut for this yard at Carlisle last month, going away at the finish; lightly raced for his age so should be more to come and looks a good bet to follow up.
With a fine big leap at the last EMIR SACREE galloped clear from his rivals to win impressively at Carlisle on debut for Nicky Henderson last month. He was going away at the line and a repeat of that would see him take all the beating again here. Solwara One took a heavy fall at Ffos Las when last seen. He still has potential but that might have knocked his confidence and he is best watched for now. He could easily be the danger but I’d want to see him put in a clear round before I could think about him as a betting proposition. Flic Ou Voyou is a strong travelled but doesn’t find much off the bridle which is concerning. The Brass Man goes up in trip for his chase debut and might need it.
