Cheltenham 1.25 L’Homme Presse (7/4)
Lightly raced sort who has taken a big step forward since going chasing winning on debut over fences at Exeter and then backing that up emphatically at Ascot; up in grade but more to come and should take a lot of beating.
Venetia Williams continues to go great guns operating at an astonishing 32% strike rate in the past fortnight alone. L’HOMME PRESSE has really impressed the last twice, winning despite making mistakes at Exeter and then backing that up with an authoritative display at Ascot. He travelled strongly into the race that day and stayed on strongly to win by 13 lengths at the line. He is getting better with experience and while this represents a step up in grade he looks a lovely prospect going forward and is a horse I want to keep firmly on side. The Glancing Queen is 2-2 herself since going chasing and looks the danger if improving again. Millers Bank is a tough sort who could bounce back too and run well.

Cheltenham 3.10 Brewin’upastorm (9/4)
Looked better than ever winning at Aintree on return in November having undergone wind surgery again; beat main market rival McFabulous at Fontwell last season and can confirm that form here; looks the one to beat.
I thought BREWIN’UPASTORM ran out a really impressive winner at Aintree back in November and if he builds on that in better company here he is going to take a lot of beating. There is potential for Stormy Ireland, On The Blind Side and main market rival McFabulous to push forward and if they do that would be an ideal scenario. Aidan Coleman will look to get the selection to drop his head early and if he can get him nicely settled I’m confident he can come through and pick them off up the hill. McFabulous won this last season but was behind the selection at Fontwell and again at Aintree and has had his issues. Guard Your Dreams may emerge as a greater threat but also needs more.
