NAP – Best selection of the evening
Wolverhampton 5.00 Night Glass (6/5)
Improving colt who went down less than a length on handicap debut at Kempton last month; slowly away too and finished strongly; sure to improve and up just 2lb looks the one they all have to beat; keep on side.
This small field scenario should suit NIGHT GLASS and if he gets a good target to aim at I think he’ll be finishing best. He was slowly into stride last time but came home well and was only denied narrowly. He goes up slightly in trip now and is clearly a well handicapped colt. I’m expecting Achnamara to take them along and hopefully he helps set it up for the selection. He could be the danger if given a soft lead so it wouldn’t be a massive surprise if he finished second. Themoonsaballoon has been a shade disappointing so far but he doesn’t look off a bad mark so might get competitive too. I think the fav has more pressing claims right now though off the back of that latest effort.

Musselburgh 2.00 Broadway Joe (6/4)
Likeable type who made it a perfect 3-3 over fences jumping rivals into submission over C&D a fortnight ago; up 10lb but not done improving yet and likely to put these all to the sword again; will take all the beating.
The progressive BROADWAY JOE can make it 4-4 over fences. He really impressed again over C&D last time and if he is in the same mood here even a 10lb hike shouldn’t be enough to peg him back. His jumping has really impressed so I think that will make him tough to beat. Kakamora has been backed in opposition and he is entitled to come on for that reappearance third. I think he needs to do more though to land a blow on the thriving Broadway Joe. Mackenberg shaped well at Wetherby on return but faded badly at Haydock. He has had a wind op but still might need the run now sent chasing. O Connell Street makes his stable debut and I wouldn’t want to see him given too much rope up front.
