Race 2 Sunshine Coast 3.35 Next Dimension (5/4)

Progressive type who came up just a nose short in a bid to land the hat-trick when last seen at Doomben back in the summer; building a nice profile now and should be too good for these if fit enough on his return.

This looks a good opportunity for NEXT DIMENSION on return. He goes well fresh and with 3 wins and 5 placed efforts from just 10 starts he is certainly going the right way. He is open to further improvement now and this trip looks to suit him well with 2 wins from 4 attempts over it. He has speed to burn and should push forward and be hard to catch with the 2kg claim. Maestoso has 4 wins from 12 starts and has to be feared. She has fitness on side after finishing fourth over track and trip last time. That was quite a good race so she is the danger if building on that. Bayerische has just the 1 win from 12 starts so definitely needs more for win purposes. Not a great deal of strength in depth here.

Tough and consistent sort who won nicely at Sandown in November and run two big races since finishing runner-up both times; more to come yet and form stacks up so looks the one to beat in this field; keep on side.

I think as long as MR CANCUN isn’t given too much to do he will be hitting the line hard and he should pick these up. He has already convinced over this trip and looks the most likely winner to me on what we’ve seen recently. Intellective is a good looking chestnut mare who looks the obvious danger to the favourite. She was down the field at Caulfield though and while this is easier she does need to bounce back somewhat. She is yet to strike over this trip too which is enough to sway it towards the favourite. Glassey Miss is also a decent yardstick and she has to be feared as she has been running well enough to have a say in the outcome here. Kings Full best of the rest but definitely needs more.
