Wolverhampton 6.30 Famous Star (10/11)
New Bay filly who arrives at the top of her game having won 2 of her last 3; impressive on handicap debut over C&D and escapes a penalty for that so found a good opportunity to follow up; one to keep firmly on side.
There was lots to like about the way FAMOUS STAR put the race to bed last time and if she builds on that again after just the 4 starts she will be extremely tough to beat here. She runs off an unchanged mark as that was an apprentice race and she has obvious claims with 5lb claimer Harry Burns having developed a good partnership. Nate The Great is a solid yardstick who has scored over track and trip in the past so looks the danger. He ran well when denied just a neck at Kempton last time so is definitely a threat if transferring that to this track tonight. Author’s Dream has won 2 of his last 3 as well so also can’t be entirely ruled out but I’m siding with the potential of the favourite.

Wolverhampton 7.00 The Tron (11/10)
Likeable type who has caught the eye on a few occasions recently and deservedly put it altogether to make the breakthrough last time; confidence high so more to come and this looks a very winnable assignment.
This won’t take a great deal of winning so I’ve kept it simple with last time out winner THE TRON taken to follow up. He has been running well all season finishing close-up behind the likes of Bare Grils, Dark Design and Papas Girl. All those runs are very solid form and he deserved to get his head in front last time. If he is in the same form here he should be good enough to follow up. I would actually put forward Lorna Cole as the danger and she is quite a big price so you might want to back her to place as a saver as well. Mr PC has a ridiculous amount of duck eggs next to his name so hopes are pinned on the first-time blinkers having the desired effect. I just can’t see it here to be honest.
