THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 9 AT GERALDTON ON SUNDAY MORNING!

Race 9 Geraldton 9.30 Corn Cob (1/1)

Smart type who is a perfect 2-2 despite not looking the finished article; impressive last time firmly on top at the line; scope to keep improving and sure to get better as he gains experience so most likely winner again.

This looks a great chance for CORN COB to remain unbeaten and make it 3-3. He has won both starts to date despite looking a bit green. He is only going to improve and I don’t see anything going well enough to trouble him in here. He has a tricky gate but looks to have the class to overcome it and it’s no surprise to see him trading short to win again. Dark City has 2 wins from 23 starts so could be a threat but he finished second last at Ascot last time and is hard to recommend off the back of that. Tambora is at least unexposed with 2 wins from 7 starts but he has finished last on all 3 starts so how can you back him to win this? Be Seated should also have more to come but is 0/4 over the trip.

Race 2 Cowra 2.15 The Drover (7/4)

Promising sort who has some really strong form in the book and ran well when third on penultimate start and then only denied narrowly last time; has more in the locker and this looks a great chance to win again.

This won’t take much winning so it makes the improving THE DROVER a standout. He just ran about a bit last time before going down narrowly and with the blinkers back on and a handy draw he looks to have plenty going for him. Scarleo looks the threat with 3 wins from 23 starts. He has 2 wins over the trip so looks a danger if taking to this track. We All Agree won at Nowra back in September but has been beaten twice since so could always be struggling here. Wunambal is fairly unexposed but has definitely gone off the boil judging on recent efforts. Dissenter landed back-to-back wins at Tamworth and Narromine before fluffing her lines last time. She might be value to bounce back and hit the frame.
