THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 4 AT ROCKHAMPTON ON THURSDAY!

Race 4 Rockhampton 4.55 In Order (11/10)

Likeable mare who showed a good attitude to deservedly get off the mark at Mackay last time, beating a good horse into second; confidence high now and more to come so looks to have a found a good opportunity to follow up.

The horse IN ORDER beat at Mackay runs in the next race on the card Whoa Lola so one to keep an eye on if the NAP does get the job done. She showed a cracking attitude to get the better of the argument last time and a repeat of that sort of form should see her home and hosed again here. She is improving and should enjoy going back up in trip. Her form prior to that stacked up anyway and I’m confident she is the one to beat in this field. Yuan Fen is the obvious danger and he is unexposed in comparison. He also won at Mackay last time and should give the favourite most to think about. Hard to see anything at bigger prices standing out but Star Of Leon still has some potential so may run well.

THE AUSSIE NB (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 6 AT TAMWORTH ON THURSDAY!

Race 6 Tamworth 5.15 Anethole (7/4)

Good looking chestnut who took his form up a notch to get back in the winners enclosure at Randwick last month; won over track and trip before which is a positive and has plenty going for him again so should win this.

This looks a great chance for ANETHOLE claiming the 3kg to win again! He looks progressive now and hit the line strong last time. He moves back up in trip but has won over this distance before and at this course. He ticks plenty of boxes and should have these rivals covered if all goes to plan. Stablemate Acrophobic might be the one to follow him home. He has a similar profile but hasn’t been seen since the summer. He goes well fresh though and should run a big race for connections. Midsummer Rain has 3 wins from 9 starts and is comfortably best of the rest if building on that recent second at Randwick. Her form is solid so she shouldn’t be far away. Air Marshal also deserves a mention.
