NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE AUSTRALIAN NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 3 AT ROCKHAMPTON ON TUESDAY!
Race 3 Rockhampton 4.47 Parkburn (11/10)
Progressive sort who has looked useful winning his last two; returned arguably better than ever last time and extra yardage in his favour again; should prove too good for these and the hat-trick surely beckons now?
Aussie bets are back and we head to Rockhampton for our best bet where PARKBURN should make it 3 in a row. He did it well last time and with added fitness as well as scope for further improvement he should go in again. The danger is likely Agustawtnd who has more experience and she ran right up to form last time. She should keep the favourite honest but probably needs to find more to spring the upset. Fire King is a decent yardstick as well with 5 wins from 18 starts. He has 11 places from those runs too which is quite impressive so he should run his race. Again though I think he’ll be vulnerable for win purposes. Art By Concorde has more to come but this is definitely a little tougher.

THE AUSTRALIAN NB (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 8 AT GEELONG ON TUESDAY!
Race 8 Geelong 6.00 Keepa Raaj (11/8)
Caught the eye making a winning start at Bendigo at the start of the month; sure to come on from that and looks well placed to make it a perfect 2-2 here; made up quite a lot of ground last time so wants them to good hard.
This shouldn’t take much winning so that makes KEEPA RAAJ a standout for me. He won really well on debut and with natural improvement should be able to remain unbeaten. He is likely to improve and probably won’t be given as much to do this time around. There looks to be a fair bit of pace on in so that should suit and I expect him to be finishing best of all. Single Tail is a nice enough filly who won at Mornington on penultimate start but she failed to back that up at Sandown and is going to need to bounce back quickly to have a squeak here. Promada has just the 1 win from 16 starts but can run well in such a weak race and is probably the place angle. Hard to really recommend much else in here.
