Race 4 Armidale 6.05 Strelitzia (6/4)
Likeable mare who won third-up in the past and left reappearance run behind to win at Moree last month; 2-2 over this trip now and open to further improvement so expected to have too much for these; keep safe.
I’ll be surprised if STRELITZIA goes off 6/4 come post time as her chance looks obvious to me. She will be hitting peak fitness now and won nicely last time. She is improving and is 2-2 over this trip so is hard to pick holes in. Travoli is the closest in the betting but he has just 1 win from 14 attempts so has to be vulnerable from a win point of view. Timely Bel is next in and is starting to look exposed with just the 2 wins from 28 starts. She should run well though with 8 placed efforts to her name from those starts. A Million Dreams is capable but with a record of 0/11 over this trip you have to look elsewhere. Bonchevo has at least won over the trip but has been woefully out of sorts recently.

Race 4 Mackay 6.27 Parkburn (6/4)
Improving sort who landed back-to-back wins at Rockhampton before going down narrowly last time; record is very solid and open to further improvement after just the 7 stats; sure to go close here.
Another winnable race and I’m surprised PARKBURN isn’t favourite for this. He was only narrowly denied the hat-trick last time and with 2 wins and 2 seconds from just 6 runs over this trip he has plenty going for him again. He will push forward and it might be catch me if you can. Ahooshu has a similar profile but has more experience. He blew out at Gold Coast last time though so will need to bounce back from that to upset the selection. This easier but that effort would have to be concerning. Boom Time Baby has a future but might need more time and experience especially against the market principals. Under The Dunes made a promising start but has gone off the boil and has enough to prove now.
