THE AUSTRALIAN NAP WON OVERNIGHT AND RUNS AT COFFS HARBOUR ON TUESDAY!

Race 6 Coffs Harbour 6.45 Field Regiment (1/1)

Promising sort who has gradually improved with each start and was last seen going down less than a length at Ballina; likely to have improved since and looks well placed to make a winning return; one to keep safe for now.

I think it’s hard to look past FIELD REGIMENT here and if he finds some improvement he will be tough to beat on his return. He has some strong form in the book from last season and should have too much for this field. Sportspak is 0/9 but did run quite well at Grafton last month. If he can build on that he will be the one to chase the favourite home. Tonquani just isn’t performing to the level needed to win this and the rest all seem to have enough to prove. Royal Kew at least still has some potential but more is needed here and he probably needs time as well as experience. Duble Memory is a good looking sort so he should have a future as well but again that last run needs to be left behind.

Race 4 Geelong 6.00 Enosi (11/8)

Good looking chestnut who needed the run on debut but still shaped with promise; two good runs since and only missed narrowly at Ballarat; with further improvement to come he looks well placed to make the breakthrough.

This looks all about ENOSI to me and I’ll be surprised if he is beaten. His form stacks up and he has improved with each run so he should take a fair bit of holding here. I’d like to see him a bit closer to the pace so he is in the box seat to pounce. Cadbury Castle has more to come but this is quite tough just third-up. Diamond Dagger is exposed compared to those at the top of the market even though she has only had 11 runs. She just doesn’t look good enough to spring an upset to me. It’s 11/2 bar those but I’m struggling to find any serious dangers. Bantamweight is quite a big price and might run into the frame but she still needs to show more on recent efforts as I think it’s a bit more competitive.
