THE AUSTRALIAN NAP WON OVERNIGHT AND RUNS AT NORTHAM ON SUNDAY!

Race 7 Northam 9.20 Elite Street (6/4)

Good looking sort who has already won 8 times and while he couldn’t bring up the hat-trick when third at Ascot he was found to have bled; quite simply wins this if everything is back in full working order.

Hard to look past ELITE STREET on his belated return. He was beaten 3 lengths when last seen in the Winterbottom but post race was found to have bled. If back to anywhere near his best here on return he will salute the judge. His profile is progressive and it’s no surprise to see him a strong favourite. Indian Pacific himself has won 7 times but is 0/2 over the trip and will need more following that sixth at Ascot where he was behind the selection and he wasn’t even at his best on that occasion. Cup Night is feared on exposed form in comparison to the front pair but was down the field when last seen and needs more against the principals. Comfort Me best of the rest but enough on his plate.

Race 8 Bendigo 7.50 Phoenix Global (6/4)

Likeable type who won at Ballarat and again justified favouritism at Geelong last time; more to come and this looks a good opportunity to bring up the hat-trick; should get a nice stalking ride through.

The inside draw could be key here for PHOENIX GLOBAL as he looks to bring up the hat-trick. He is improving all the time judging by that last win and I don’t see anything in here good enough to stop him going in again. Atomic Selfie is at least unexposed and is actually 2-2 over the trip so looks the danger. She has gone off the boil though and needs to bounce back for sure. Gymnastics won at Hawkesbury but failed to back that up really at Goulburn. Still looks a filly with potential and should be in the mix though. Marketing has won 3 times but is only 1/4 over the trip and is coming up against some good ones so needs more. Ice Burj is quite a big price but this will demand another career best.
