MY AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 5 AT CANTERBURY PARK ON WEDNESDAY!
Race 5 Canterbury Park 6.10 Bartoselli (1/1)
Improving gradually when last seen winning at Warwick Farm and then looking a bit unlucky when second at Canterbury having began awkwardly and got caught wide; hard to beat pushing forward from a low draw.
With two trials in preparation for his return BARTOSELLI should have no excuses at Canterbury Park on Wednesday morning. He is building a nice profile and looks to have the most potential in this field. He is likely to be ridden aggressively from a good draw under Hugh Bowman and should take a fair bit of pegging back. King Kapa blew out at Randwick last time but will find this easier so is respected. Prince Invincible is a little more exposed but has some solid form in the book so likely won’t be all that far away. Aspen Chase might be the danger eyeing up a hat-trick. Again this has more depth but at least he is trending the right way and I think he’ll be the one to keep the favourite honest.

Race 4 Balaklava 6.00 Jean Valjean (6/4)
Likeable type who won here last year and has held his form well in defeat since; bounced back when a good fifth in stronger company at Morphettville last month where he was slowly away too; likely hard to beat back here.
This step up in trip should see JEAN VALJEAN back in the winners enclosure. These are calmer waters than recent assignments and he looks the class act in the field. He loves it here (1-1) and really should take care of these. Lonrodex is unexposed and won at Gawler last time. If he improves again he could be the danger to the favourite. Balcrest Belle also got her head in front here last time but she has more on her plate here and has already run 13 times. Manage The Cycle might be the each way play in the race as he has some solid form to his name including a win at this track and he should have more in the locker after just the 5 starts. Love To Love best of the rest but 0/2 over this trip a negative.
