MY AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 5 AT GOSFORD ON THURSDAY!

Race 5 Gosford 5.35 Alicia Roma (11/8)

Promising filly who made a bright start winning impressively by 5 and a half lengths on debut at Tamworth; touched off at Muswellbrook on final start; likely to have improved since and can make a winning return here.

No surprise to see ALICIA ROMA trading as a short priced favourite for this. She looked a filly going places as a 2yo and will likely make a winning reappearance here. She was denied just a head by Mabel on final start at Muswellbrook and given she is likely to have strengthened up and matured since she should be hard to beat fresh here. Divine Okay is a good looking type and he opened his account convincingly at Goulburn last month so looks the danger with more to come. The Rockwell Scale has a similar profile to the latter having won at Hawkesbury last time but will likely need more on the bare form there. Boomsong still has potential too in a good race but it is the favourites to lose.

Race 1 Coffs Harbour 3.30 Sherriff Cody (6/4)

Likeable type who showed a good attitude to prevail at Grafton on penultimate start and just looked to bump into one when a close second at Inverell last time; can do better again and looks the most likely winner.

Good chance for SHERRIFF CODY to get back in the winners enclosure. He impressed at Grafton and didn’t do a lot wrong last time just bumping into Cupid’s Kiss who is another decent yardstick. If he can find a little improvement he will see this field off as it does look a bit limited. The fact Bon Vavont is second in the betting says a lot as he has just the 1 win from 24 attempts now. Ran well at Gunnedah last time but hard to see him overhauling the favourite. Heimberg is just 2 from 25 and ran poorly at Toowoomba last time so needs more on that for sure. Anazone is slightly less exposed and if building on that recent sixth at Canberra may pose the greatest threat to the selection.
