NAP – Best selection of the evening
Newmarket 3.45 Deodar (6/5)
Well bred sort who has won 2 of his first 3 starts to date and while he was entitled to win last time he is better than he showed there; can progress again now handicapping and looks one to keep firmly on side.
This looks a good opportunity for DEODAR to make it 3 wins from just 4 starts. He goes handicapping off an opening mark of 95 and that may well underestimate him given he should improve again tackling an extra furlong in trip. He did make hard work of it at Doncaster but he likely needed the run following a 203 day absence. He is bred to be pretty smart so it will be disappointing if he can’t win this. Dream Show was disappointing on return at Goodwood but quickly bounced back to dead-head at Newbury last month. He is 5lb higher but like the selection has more to offer yet and is the most likely danger. Lord Rapscallion is on a lengthy losing run and has enough to find here.

Newcastle 1.35 Revision (11/10)
Ardad colt who showed plenty of encouragement going down just two lengths on debut at Haydock at the start of the month; given an easy time of it there so sure to improve; looks sure to take all the beating.
We head to Newcastle on Thursday for our second best bet of the day and REVISION looks poised to strike for Kevin Ryan. This colt by Ardad found all bar the odds-on favourite too strong at Haydock on debut and won’t need to improve much on that to take this out. He was given a lot to do that day but made good headway and was staying on well at the finish without getting to the winner. He sets the standard on that and will definitely progress again himself so really should be winning this. Corporate Raider has already had a couple of starts and he might be more a type for nurseries in time. Hernan Cortes is by Almanzor and he didn’t shape badly when fourth on debut so might be the danger.
