Race 8 Kembla Grange 7.50 Regal Pom (7/4)
Improving type who made the breakthrough impressively to win by 8 lengths at Wyong last month; with that under his belt should have more to come now and this definitely another winnable opportunity.
I thought REGAL POM caught the eye racing without cover to finish third at Hawkesbury back in June so it was perhaps no huge surprise to see him win so well at Wyong last time. He thrashed them by 8 lengths and remains open to further improvement now. If he does step forward again they will all struggle to peg him back. He will push forward and look to dictate off the front. Matlock impressed winning at Hawkesbury but failed to back that up last time. He could bounce back but even if he does he might need more to trouble this favourite. Crime Spree still has potential and is a good looking type but he needs to show more than what he has done recently. Hard to see much else figuring too prominently.

Race 5 Townsville 5.27 Roshan (7/4)
Good looking sort who ran well going down just a length on penultimate start and build on that back to his best winning at Rockhampton last time; hard to beat if repeating that sort of form so worth chancing.
This isn’t a great race so it very much looks like ROSHAN‘s to lose. He is a good looking type who improved on that encouraging third on penultimate start to win convincingly last time. He likes a good pace to run down and this should be set-up to suit as well. He is a 7/4 chance in the market and that looks about right. If he brings his best form he should have all the answers. Roc De Khaper is more exposed and finished nearer last than first last time so has a bit to prove on that. Stats has just the one win from 14 attempts and is hard to recommend especially on that Cairns run last time. Undoubted has been thereabouts and may prove to be the main threat to the favourite late on.
