THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) WON AGAIN OVERNIGHT SO WE’RE NOW CHASING A HAT-TRICK OF WINS!

Race 2 Doomben 3.23 Amiche (4/5)

Speedy mare who made it three wins from six starts over C&D last month, winning comfortably having tracked the speed through; loves this track and trip and should win this before going onto better things.

Sticking with the progressive AMICHE here. She made it three wins from her last four starts over C&D last time and probably only has to match that to go in again. She is improving all the time though after just 6 career starts and is one to keep firmly on side. The race is cutting up so her price is contracting rapidly but hopefully you still get around 4/5 (at the time of writing). If you want bigger value then cover the Daily Double (which includes the NB). I don’t let the price put me off though as a winner is a winner and she looks a cut above here. You can get value even in cramped odds. No dangers but Chico Milagro will probably finish second. He is useful himself and will do better as he gains experience. Scored at Eagle Farm and chased home Chaffeur last time.

Race 4 Rosehill 5.00 Masked Crusader (11/10)

Talented gelding who has won three from five so far; was beaten at Randwick last time but dwelt at the start and soft ground maybe not ideal? Beaten by a smart horse in Varda so good chance of bouncing back here.

The one to beat is clearly MASKED CRUSADER here. He wasn’t supposed to get beat last time but it happened and the form of that race will work out in time anyway I think. He can get worked up so hopefully they keep a lid on him in the prelims. He’ll go off a lot shorter if he does go down to the start settled. Should win this before going onto better things. Both the NAP and NB overnight are very promising horses and I’ll be surprised if either are beaten. Fituese is the closest in the betting and she has won five times from eight starts so is worthy of plenty of respect but the favourite should be in a different league for me. She is comfortably the one to chase her home though. Electric Girl ran well when third last time but needs plenty more to trouble the front pair.
