Race 5 Rosehill 4.50 Prime Star (13/8)

Good looking chestnut who still has tons of potential; won 2 and placed 7 from 12 starts; should get a nice toe into this before proving the stronger in the closing stages; dotted up in a trial in preparation so should be spot on.

Zorocat and Supremo are likely to take each other on here and with Dubai Star also racing handily this could pan out perfectly for the likeable PRIME STAR here. This horse has potential to rate a lot higher and looks well placed to return to the winners enclosure. He won a trial in preparation for this so should be spot on fitness-wise. He will get a nice toe in with a strong early pace and can pick them up comfortably in the closing stages. He has the most potential in this field and I’m keen to keep him on side. Exoboom won the Hawkesbury Guineas last start and has to be feared. A wide draw makes life tough though but still respected. Nicci’s Fling is also worth a second look at a big price.

Race 6 Doomben 5.42 Senor Toba (9/4)

Promising type who left reappearance run behind to win impressively at Randwick last month; came from last to first and really impressed; form looks progressive and should make it 3 wins from 5 starts here.

This is a good race but I’ve got to be with the exciting SENOR TOBA here. This grey powered home last time and with the promise of more to come he gets a confident vote to come out on top again. He looked to relish the step up in trip and there should be lots more to come. High Supremacy was second to the selection in the Packer Plate and does look held on that run but he is consistent so has to be respected and it’s no surprise to see him figure prominently in the betting. Khoekhoe is a nice colt who probably deserves to have more than just 3 wins from 12 starts. I see him as the main danger and I’m expecting a good finish with the fav preferred after that impressive last time out victory.
