THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 7 AT FLEMINGTON ON SATURDAY MORNING!

Race 7 Flemington 6.45 Verry Elleegant (6/4)

Smart mare who won this last year and comes here in cracking form having swept through from off the pace to win impressively in top company at Randwick last month; fitter again and going to take all the beating.

It’s always a joy to see VERRY ELLEEGANT out again and she looks by far and away the most likely winner of this. She won this last year and has had a better prep this time around. She hit the line strong last time and her record third up is really strong. If she produces her best form it will be too much for Incentivise as good as he looks. He has won 7 from 10 and is very much unexposed so is the obvious danger but I’m sticking with the proven form of the selection to come out on top. Sir Dragonet is a talented beast and he looks best of the rest. I just can’t see him living with the turn of foot the fav is likely to show. Persan at a bigger price might go better than his odds suggest.

Race 10 Royal Randwick 8.20 Gravina (6/4)

Good looking sort who rounded off last campaign with two convincing wins over C&D; looked to need the run on return last month and likely to improve plenty so looks well placed to resume his progression; keep safe.

There is a lot of pace engaged here with the likes of Big Parade and Marway likely to take each other on early. I’m expecting GRAVINA to get nicely settled before looking to run them all down late. He is plenty talented and looks sure to improve from that reappearance third over shorter. There is some rain about and that certainly won’t bother him and he looks to have plenty going for him. Big Parade is a decent yardstick with 6 wins from 13 starts and he should run his race. Never Talk looked a nice prospect earlier on but has disappointed lately so needs to rejuvenate herself to land a blow. Prime Candidate probably best of the rest but again has been near last recently.
