Race 9 Caulfield 7.15 Incentivise (7/4)

Won 8 times from just 11 starts and showed a great attitude to win the Makybe Diva at Flemington last month; improving all the time and been trained with this race in mind so big chance of extending the winning run.

I’m really looking forward to seeing INCENTIVISE in the Caulfield Cup on Saturday. This race has all the makings of a classic and I can’t oppose the favourite for Peter Moody. He is set to go off the shortest priced horse for this race since Tobin Bronze in 1966 which is saying something. He impressed winning in Queensland and then produced another big performance to win both the Turnbull and Makybe Diva in Melbourne. This is competitive but if things drop right for him he has the most ability for me and should take his chance. Delphi has come into his own since his stamina has been drawn out and he looks a big danger. I think I’ll be backing him to place as a saver. The Chosen One is also noted.

Race 3 Morphettville 4.11 Karacasu (7/4)

Caught the eye winning well on return from four months off the track over slightly shorter here last month; likes to get covered up early before coming with a strong run late; this could set up perfectly so big chance again.

It’s hard to look past the progressive KARACASU at Morphettville in the early hours of Saturday morning. He really impressed swooping from off the pace to win readily here on return and with added fitness on side he looks hard to get away from. He is 2-2 over this trip and has obvious claims of taking this before going onto better things in time. Hopon Harry also looks fairly promising having impressed last time. This tougher but going the right way and should finish second. Philonize is chasing a hat-trick but will also find this tougher so is going to need more. Manhattan Times landed back-to-back wins before being found out at Sandown last time and is going to need to bounce back here.
