THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) WON OVERNIGHT AND RUNS AT IPSWICH ON WEDNESDAY!

Race 7 Ipswich 8.10 Smart Star Prince (1/1)

Improved again to win at Gold Coast at the start of the month and chasing a hat-trick now; should get a good pace to aim at and likely to be the one finishing best from a good draw; one to keep safe against these.

The Aussie NAP was back in the winners enclosure overnight and we head to Ipswich on Wednesday in search of another winner. The likeable SMART STAR PRINCE looks well placed to bring up the hat-trick. He has impressed the last twice and was a convincing winner at Gold Coast last time. With scope to keep progressing he can extend the winning sequence. Maxcalemma looks the obvious threat and that’s being reflected in the betting. He made the breakthrough at Doomben last time after some really consistent efforts. He will improve but I think the selection has greater potential and might always have him covered here. Of the rest Mishani Conman is quite a big price and might run into a place.

Race 3 Northam 7.14 Dais (1/1)

Promising mare who looked desperately unlucky missing by a nose on debut over track and trip at the start of the month; sure to be more streetwise now and fully expected to go one better; she has tons of potential.

The Aussie NB also landed overnight so confidence is high heading into Wednesday. The money was down for DAIS on debut but she narrowly failed to get the job done. Hopefully that was just money lent to the bookies as she should gain compensation here. She was denied a nose and with a better draw can open her account. She looks to have the most potential of these and I don’t think they’ll be any excuses here. Catalpa has shown signs of ability and might emerge as the danger. He ran well when third over C&D last time and with usual progress will keep the favourite honest. He’sgotwings is an interesting newcomer having won a barrier trial at Belmont Park. Keep an eye on the betting.
