Race 9 Doomben 7.12 Morethannumberone (5/4)

Good looking chestnut who has won 3 of his last 4 and did it convincingly again at Gold Coast last time; improving all the time and looks well placed again to bring up the hat-trick; certainly one to keep safe.

I just think MORETHANNUMBERONE is better than these and I’d have him a lot shorter than 5/4. He is chasing a hat-trick and has been impressively recently. There is more in the locker yet and I think he’ll be too good for these. Dzsenifer has already won 3 times so she looks the danger back from a break. She has more to offer so I think she is a clear second best to the selection. Indispensable is respected on exposed form with 7 wins from 28 starts but his recent form of 2212 is very consistent so don’t expect him to be far away again. Academy needs more on the balance and especially on what we’ve seen recently. Hard to see anything else getting involved at bigger prices. Market principals have this.

Race 5 Morphettville 4.12 Noble Heights (11/8)

Progressive sort who was back to his best winning at Geelong last month; up in trip again and scope to keep improving so obvious chance to follow up and record career win number 4 here; sure to go close.

Hard to look past last time out winner NOBLE HEIGHTS here for Matt Cumani and Barend Vorster. He looks a horse on the upgrade now and impressed winning at Geelong last time. With scope to do better up in trip he can win this and win it comfortably. Ritratto has 8 wins from 25 starts and 3 of those have come at this track so he looks the danger to the favourite. Nudge Bar is 2-2 at this track and should also be fighting it out for a place in behind the selection. Exalted Ambition is proven over the trip but I’ll be surprised if something doesn’t improve past him here. Canford has some good form in the book but this is quite tough so he might just struggle to land a blow. Same applies to Ourkhani.
