THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 2 AT FLEMINGTON ON SATURDAY!

Race 2 Flemington 2.10 Eluding (13/8)

Promising type who has taken his form to a new level winning his last two showing a good attitude to prevail last time; form stacks up and has more to come yet so looks to have a great chance of landing the hat-trick.

Hard to get away from ELUDING here as he bids to bring up the hat-trick. He is clearly thriving right now and did well to prevail again last time. The form looks really good and I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t make it 3 in a row here. The fact Redwood Shadow is second fav says a lot about the lack of quality here as he is just 1 from 12 and definitely needs more to upset this favourite. Hasseltoff is quite a decent yardstick and looks solid but only from a place perspective. Brasada has at least won 3 times already and hasn’t been far away the last twice but still has enough to find to seriously trouble the selection. Royal Order has won at this track and also deserves a mention but fav should win again.

Race 3 Eagle Farm 3.52 Palazzo Spirit (7/4)

Smart colt who made a winning start prevailing by a head over track and trip back in October; landed a recent trial and looks well placed to make it a perfect 2-2 before going on to better things in time.

There was lots to like about the way PALAZZO SPIRIT won on debut and given time since he looks like he has a great chance to remain unbeaten. He brings plenty of potential to the table and as long as the newcomer Swiss Exile isn’t anything special he should take care of these. The latter won a barrier trial at Canterbury so has to be feared but he still lacks race experience and will need to be plenty forward to get seriously competitive. Inequality made a bright start finishing second on debut and with further improvement to come may well emerge as the main danger to the selection. Hard To Say is 0/2 but has ability so looks best of the rest. Definitely keen to side with the favourite.
