Best Australian Horse Racing bets in Australia on Wednesday morning
CROSSBAR RATTLED OVERNIGHT! The NB won but the NAP could only finish second. Still plenty of other winners including a Notebook so hopefully we can build on that. Overnight Double pays 11/4!
Alongside our best bets we have race-by-race bets below the main bets if you want to know what we fancy on the rest of the cards (just scroll right down to the bottom).
NAP – Best selection of the evening
Race 6 Doomben 6.29 Kerchak (4/5)
Promising type who was denied just a head on debut having began awkwardly and got caught wide; quickly improved from that to win impressively at Ipswich last month; better to come yet and great chance to follow up.
Got to be with the progressive KERCHAK to follow up here and make it 2 wins from 3 starts. He is arguably a bit unlucky not to be chasing a hat-trick as he was only narrowly denied on debut after he fluffed his lines at the start and then got caught wide. He is getting better with experience and looks a cut above this field in my book. Rations is a decent mare but she has just the 1 win from 9 attempts so that alone is a bit offputting. Trench Warfare is a similar profile to be honest but he remains a decent yardstick and should run his race. If you wanted a saver I’d back him to place as he looks rock solid to me. Pedal To The Metal remains unexposed and might fare best of the rest at a price.
NB – Second best selection of the day
Race 6 Caulfield 7.30 Gentleman Roy (10/11)
Improving sort who arrives chasing a hat-trick having impressed at Geelong and then followed up at Flemington last month; form stacks up and can do better again so obvious chance of going in here; most likely winner.
The likeable GENTLEMAN ROY got first run on Savannah Cloud last time and made it count. He clocked a decent speed figure in the process and looks up to confirming that form here and making it 4 wins from just 7 starts. He loved the step up to this trip last time and looks to have plenty going for him again. I do think that is the form line to focus on and I’m expecting them to finish the 1-2 again here. If you wanted a saver then you could back the reverse forecast for insurance. Dundirtcheap is a perfect 2-2 but we haven’t seen him for nearly a year and with the blinkers on he might just come on for it. Still a nice prospect going forward so has to be feared as well. There won’t be a surprise.
Australian Daily Double
The Australian Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the night to maximise profit. They run at Doomben and Caulfield in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Don’t miss our Australian Notebook Double overnight! These are two horses that have caught our eye in previous runs that we think will go close. Usually a bigger price than the Daily Double.
Here you will find our Daily Lucky 15! It includes both Notebook runners, the Eye Catcher and Value Tip. These are some of our strongest bets of the day combined to try and land that big win.
We also have an Each Way Double Down Under overnight. If both place at least we should still bank some profit. Pays 30/1!
The Aussie Mega Acca is back again overnight. Includes some of our best bets (NAP & NB) combined to try and land that big win. Pays 25/1!
