Race 8 Belmont 10.55 She’s A Sweet Deel (1/1)

Progressive mare who has won 3 of her last 4 and is unbeaten over this trip with all 3 wins coming at this track too; impressed again last time getting on top late; can keep improving so one to keep firmly on side.

C&D specialist SHE’S A SWEET DEEL should prove too good for these. She ran them down impressively last time and is improving as she gains experience. She will need usual luck in-running but I can’t oppose. She is 3-3 over this trip and 3 from 4 at this track so there is lots to like. After just 5 starts I highly doubt we’ve seen the best of her yet. The one to chase her home may well be Dani Bella. She is a likeable mare who is 3 from 5 over the trip and ran well when second at this track last time. She is a decent yardstick who should give her running. The front pair look a cut above the rest but at a bigger price Piccola Signora might be a bit of value to run on into third. She should at least strip fitter now.

Race 5 Launceston 9.30 Neutralize (11/8)

Likeable filly who deservedly got her head in front at Hobart last time after a string of consistent efforts; more to come now she knows how to win and this looks a great opportunity for her to take advantage again.

I’ve had my eye on NEUTRALIZE for a while now so it was good to see her make the breakthrough at Hobart last month. She was always dictating and hit the line strong. She will be fitter again third-up and I think she’ll prove a cut above this bunch. Champagne Cinders has knocked on the door the last twice and she has to be feared but if the fav improves again she might always be struggling to peg her back. Rhyme Writer is more exposed but did win at Devonport last time so if in the same sort of form here should at least give the principals a race. Sharma Rama has already won twice but has gone off the boil somewhat and is likely to need more. Fighting Styx looks to be best of the rest.
