THE AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 2 AT BELMONT ON SATURDAY MORNING!

Race 2 Belmont 5.39 God Has Chosen (4/5)

Progressive type who left his reappearance run behind to get back in the winners enclosure at Ascot last month; won 6 from 10 now and with added fitness again looks to have plenty in favour; hard to oppose.

Great chance for the improving GOD HAS CHOSEN to make it 7 wins from just 11 starts. He has a great strike rate and should come on again from that win last time given it was just his second run back since a break. He will race handily and should have too much for these rivals. Watch Me Dance has proved consistent but must be vulnerable to a couple again. Might not be far away though. Friaresque is exposed compared to the selection but if bouncing back could pose some sort of a threat. The rest all look to have enough to prove but Bombay Style is slightly interesting probably not for today but going forward. He has won 2 from 6 over the trip so it clearly suits him well and he is around 40/1 here.

Race 7 Scone 5.35 Andermatt (6/5)

Bred to be smart and starting to fulfil that potential now having brought up the hat-trick at Randwick last month, winning convincingly; more to come up in trip again and definitely one to keep firmly on side.

I’m struggling to look past ANDERMATT here for James Cummings. He is a half-brother to Ghisoni and is bred to be pretty useful and looks to be fulfilling that potential now. He made it 3 in a row at Randwick and looks ready to tackle this longer trip now. The danger is last time out winner Tycoonist who did impress at Hawkesbury but this looks tougher again especially up against the untapped potential of the favourite. Flying Crazy has won 4 from 10 and is 1-1 over the trip so might be a bit overpriced. He is probably the one I’d chance to chase the selection home. Bandersnatch is a bit more exposed than those mentioned above but he also arrives here in winning form so is respected as well.
