THE US NAP (BEST BET) RUNS AT SARATOGA AGAIN ON THURSDAY NIGHT!
Race 9 Saratoga 10.17 Ratajkowski (11/10)
Useful mare who is lightly raced for her age and has a terrific strike rate winning 5 of her 8 starts to date; back from 203 days off the track to win by a neck over Mrs. Orb over a mile at Belmont in June; can build on that and should be too good.
Hard to get away from RATAJKOWSKI here under Jose Ortiz. She has a looked a very useful operator in a handful of starts to date and resumed with a convincing win last time. She should confirm that form here and can improve too given it was her first start for a while. I’m expecting her to be on the pace again so there shouldn’t be any excuses. Newly Minted has knocked on the door since winning at Aqueduct and can pose the biggest threat to the selection.

Improving colt who bounced back to finish a good second at Mountaineer last time; open to improvement on first look here and should put his experience to good use; looks the most likely winner.
We head to Belterra Park for our second best bet of the night Stateside and INSOFAR is taken to go one better in Race 6 on the card. He wasn’t at his best following a promising debut on his second start so it was good to see him bounce back last time. If he steps forward again he will win this. Some interesting types in opposition most notably Mighty Angel and Harbor Boy who are making their racecourse debuts. They will need to be plenty forward to overhaul the favourite though. Likely to be a warm order.
