THE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS AT NEWMARKET ON FRIDAY!
Newmarket 4.50 Man Of Promise (13/8)
Smart colt who looked promising chasing home Mums Tipple and Molatham on debut at Ascot on sole run as a 2yo; plenty went wrong on return but still managed to get the better of subsequent winner Cold Front; improving all the time and should win this before going onto better things.
I was impressed with MAN OF PROMISE at Yarmouth as he knuckled down well to get the better of subsequent winner Cold Front on return from 321 days off the track. He looked sure to benefit from that run and could be a useful prospect for Charlie Appleby going forward. An opening mark of 92 is no given but I think he has the scope to defy that and this looks a good bit of placement. Byline did well to win last time finding plenty off the bridle but an 8lb rise in a better race makes life tougher. Hard to see much else proving good enough but Endowed is probably the value play to run into a place.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS AT THE GOODWOOD ON FRIDAY!
Goodwood 2.30 Lady Lynetta (13/8)
Tamayuz filly who clearly benefited from her reappearance run when down the field at Yarmouth to win at Haydock back down in trip earlier this month; could be lots more to come now and one to keep firmly on side.
We head to Goodwood on Friday for our second best bet of the day and LADY LYNETTA is taken to go in again for Richard Hughes. I thought she looked a proper horse at Haydock last time and with the second Amber Storm paying the form a handsome compliment at York last week she is hard to oppose as she bids to follow up. There could be plenty more to come now she has learned how to race and I want to keep firmly on the right side of her today and going forward. Oti Ma Boati did impress at York last time and has bags of scope so has to be feared but she probably lacks the class of the selection so while she is a danger may always be playing second fiddle.
Daily Double
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Goodwood and Newmarket on Friday afternoon.
