Kingman colt who looks poised to run a big race; needed it on return in the Queen Anne before failing to get into a rhythm at Sandown; back to his best chasing home Aspetar at York and obvious chance now.
Soft ground holds no fears for FOX CHAIRMAN and I think this looks a great opportunity for him to get his head back in front. That second to Aspetar at York was a cracking run and if he reproduces that here he should win. He can find trouble so I wouldn’t want to see him caught in a pocket as he has been unlucky before. Hopefully SDS knows him well enough now and if he gets the breaks he should prove too strong. Extra Elusive impressed last time but he benefitted from an enterprising ride and will undoubtedly find this tougher. Sinjaari put in a career best at York last time and is feared most.

Goodwood 3.00 Subjectivist (15/8)
Useful colt who looked firmly on the up making all at Hamilton last month; kept on his toes since finishing third to Mogul in the Gordon Stakes before doing too much early in the Great Voltigeur; this easier and yard won it last year.
Mark Johnston won this last year with Sir Ron Priestley and he has strong claims of defending his crown in the shape of SUBJECTIVIST. This colt by Teofilo has been kept busy in his short career to date and looked a useful operator making all in a Listed race at Hamilton last month. He then chased home Mogul and Highland Chief here when third in the Gordon Stakes before not seen to best effect at York behind Pyledriver. This small-field scenario promises to suit and I think he has the ability to see off main market rival Cabaletta. The latter is a big danger having chased home Enbihaar over C&D last time.
