MY US NAP RUNS IN RACE 7 AT THISTLEDOWN ON TUESDAY NIGHT!

Race 7 Thistledown 8.50 Red Hot Lass (best price 6/5)

Progressive mare who made it 3 wins from her last 4 starts drawing clear comfortably to win over 6f at Mahoning Valley last time; this not a great deal tougher and more to come up to a mile so obvious chance.

This should go the way of RED HOT LASS who likes to bounce out and boss the opposition. She won by over 6 lengths last time and arrives at the top of her game having won 3 of her last 4 starts. Quite a few of these like to take a lead or come off from the pace so she might be away and gone by the time they try and close up. Maliced is probably the danger but she was well held in third last time beaten over 8 lengths so she’ll need to bounce back to have a chance of overturning the favourite in this.

Race 5 Will Rogers Downs 9.12 Connors Outlaw (best price 13/8)

Likeable type who has taken his form up a few notches recently winning readily over C&D last month and then following up head in chest last time; more to come given he is unexposed so worth backing.

This track and trip clearly suits CONNORS OUTLAW well and with a strike rate of 4 wins from 7 starts he looks the most progressive in the field. He can keep improving for a while yet and looks the most likely winner. Shannon C is much more exposed but is still a decent yardstick so I expect him to give the selection most to think about. Of the rest Mesa Moon has been highly tried recently and might find this a bit easier but does look held by Shannon C on previous form so still has work to do to beat that rival alone.
