Race 8 Thistledown 9.20 Midnight In Ohio (best price 10/11)
Improving filly who made a bright start on sole start as a 3yo winning readily at this track; couldn’t have been more impressive on return powering clear; more to come and hat-trick beckons.
The way MIDNIGHT IN OHIO won over the extended 5f here on return was mightily impressive and with further improvement to come she can take this slight step up in class in her stride. She has plenty of gears and should keep getting better with experience. Goodness Sakes has a habit of finishing second and that may well be the case again here but she is still feared as the main danger if improving on that reappearance run. Driven For Success has only had 4 starts and has won 2 of them and if she improves again she is also respected.

Race 4 Horseshoe Indiana 9.03 Metallic Man (best price 6/4)
Likeable type who has won 2 of his last 3 starts and returned with an emphatic win over track and trip last month, geared down; remains open to further improvement so can follow up.
Great chance for METALLIC MAN to win again. He has won 2 of his last 3 and overall had a decent enough strike rate last season. He returned better than ever last month and back up in grade with more to come should prove too strong. Highest Praise has some good form in the book and will be the danger if coming on for his reappearance run last time which in truth was pretty poor. Music To My Ears would also have to be feared if fit enough to do himself justice on return but this does look a competitive enough race.
