THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) WON OVERNIGHT AND RUNS AT CAULFIELD ON SATURDAY!

Race 1 Caulfield 1.40 In The Boat (5/6)

Promising type who is a perfect 2-2 at this track and 5 from 8 overall; won 4 straight and impressive again at Moonee Valley last month; not done improving yet and looks the one they all have to beat; keep firmly on side.

The Aussie NAP was back in the winners enclosure overnight and hopefully we can add another winner on Saturday morning. We head to Caulfield in the early hours where IN THE BOAT looks a great bet to bring up the five-timer. This horse is answering every question asked of him recently and the extra yardage here could be a catalyst for further progression. This is a good race but he is very much one to keep on side. He should go forward early and will look to gallop these into submission. Fundraiser is a decent yardstick and he is fitter again so definitely has a squeak. I’m pretty sure he’ll be the danger to the favourite and should finish second. Unanimous also deserves respect.

Race 7 Gold Coast 6.14 Gogol (6/5)

Tough and likeable sort who was back to his best winning gamely at Doomben last week; 4 from 6 at this track and 4 from 7 over this distance now so lots to like again; good pace to run down and should be finishing best.

I really like the chances of GOGOL at Gold Coast on Saturday. He is building up a nice profile now and loves this track. He was always getting the better of the argument late last time and with plenty of pace on here this could pan out perfectly again. He will always need a bit of luck coming from off the pace but looks to have a great chance of following up here. Global Citizen is one of the pace angles but he is likely to face early pressure especially from I Did It Again. That will make it tougher for him to see it ut but he has won 2 from 3 here so has to be respected. Jule’s Spirit is 10 wins from 35 starts and is a decent yardstick but he is 0/4 over the trip which makes him opposable.
