Saturday’s NAP runs in the opener at Caulfield and should have great chance of kicking the card off with a bang. GENERATION has won 4 of his 6 starts including a win over course and distance last time out. He took that Group 3 Manfred Stakes by over a length after a 15 week break and should be fitter for the run and take some beating.

Mars Mission is the danger after a good win at Moonee Valley in handicap company last time and is entitled to step up to this level. That said he will need to improve to beat the selection.

Caulfield Race 5 4:05 Cascadian (1/1)

This looks like the perfect opportunity for CASCADIAN to get his head back in-front after going close plenty of times in better races. He comeback from 14 weeks off to finish 3rd in a Group 1 at the track 2 weeks ago and should strip a lot fitter for that run. Dropping in class here and up in trip he will be tough to beat.

It isn’t the deepest race and the improving Delphi could be the if ready to roll after a trial. He ran well here over 2000m previously and this could be a good starting point.
