Preview Pointer
Hereford 2.15 Fontley House (4/1)
Lightly raced for his age and ran an eye-catching race at a big price when second at Southwell on return in October; built on that to get off the mark at Kempton last time, showing a good attitude to prevail; could have more to come.
The Preview Pointer landed a nice winner yesterday in Skyhill so hopefully we can record back-to-back winners at Hereford today. FONTLEY HOUSE knuckled down well to get off the mark at Kempton and with further improvement a distinct possibility he is taken to follow up for Tom George. I’m quite surprised he isn’t favourite. Holly James is the one they’ve backed but he has a bit to prove after coming down at Chepstow last time.
Eye Catcher
Dundalk 6.30 Tio Esteban (5/1)
Did well to win at Wolverhampton last time given he was slowly away and had a fair bit of ground to make up; well on top at the finish though and looks a big player here with further improvement to come.
It was very much gamble landed for TIO ESTEBAN at Wolverhampton last time so the market is likely to prove informative again here. I’ve decided to take a chance at 5/1 and will be hoping he is backed in again before the off. There was a lot to like about the way he closed from off the pace last time and with further progress to come he looks a decent proposition to follow up. Miracles In May is the main danger to the selection.
