Southwell 7.45 Chinese Alphabet (13/2)

Ran a cracker on first attempt on fibresand, staying on well for third despite racing keenly in the early stages; not so good last time but promises to be suited by this step up in trip and he looks a big player in this field.

The way CHINESE ALPHABET finished off his race here last month to finish third he has proven himself on the surface. He didn’t appreciate the kick-back last time so with the eyeshields applied he could be a big player here. This won’t take a great deal of winning and the money has already started to come for Mick Appleby’s charge. Molliana is a fascinating contender off a lowly mark and is a danger while Irish Minister is also considered, especially to hit the frame.

Dundalk 5.00 Enough Said (5/2)

Didn’t go unbacked when performing a career best to get back to winning ways over C&D 28 days ago, always holding on; a 3lb higher mark should be manageable and he looks a big player again; market already speaking positively.

We head to Dundalk on Friday for the Daily Steamer and ENOUGH SAID is likely to be a warm order again here. He was well supported when winning over C&D last time and has strong claims again. He is likely to be up with the pace and if showing the attitude that saw him prevail last time he will have every chance. Early Call is a danger again and Lapilli also catches the eye for each way purposes. The latter is nudged up 2lb for that second last time and wasn’t passed over easily.

Longshot Steamer Double

We’ve combined both the Longshot and Steamer to make an Each Way Double on Friday. It pays 25/1 and looks worth covering (each way).
