He travelled notably well before leaving the field standing to score on hurdles debut over C&D last month and with further improvement on the cards he should have no trouble in defying the penalty. Katahdin has shaped with promise on both hurdle outings at Newbury and rates the main danger.

2-2 over this C&D this term, running on readily to win by 4 lengths last time, dominating the opposition; clearly relishes this surface and looks to have an obvious chance of following up turned out quickly under a penalty; most likely winner.
The NB has been flying lately with Merryweather landing us a 4/1 winner on Friday and Arrivederci winning at 2/1 yesterday. We head to Southwell as we look to land a hat-trick of winners and ZAPPER CASS looks the one to be on for Mick Appleby. He clearly loves this track and trip and will likely be staying on strongest at the death. George Thomas tackles this surface for the first time but won well at Lingfield latest and looks the danger.
