NAP – Best selection of the day
THE NAP LANDED YESTERDAY AND WE HEAD TO CHEPSTOW IN SEARCH OF A WINNER TO START A NEW WEEK!
Chepstow 1.50 Beaufort West (10/11)
Useful type who was highly tried when down the field in the Supreme; shaped with plenty of promise when eventually well held in the Silver Trophy on return; wind op since and this a drop in class so if bouncing back should win.
I have no doubt BEAUFORT WEST is the most likely winner here. I know the yard think a lot of him and he did shape well before getting tired in testing conditions here on return. He has had a wind op since and if bouncing back will be extremely hard to beat. His form figures don’t exactly inspire confidence but he does still have potential and this is a lot easier than what he’s been contesting. He should win!
NB – Second best selection of the day
ZAPPER CAS LANDED THE NB A HAT-TRICK OF WINNERS YESTERDAY! WE HEAD TO AYR FOR THE FOUR-TIMER TODAY!
Ayr 1.05 Lily’s Gem (6/4)
Soft ground bumper winner who ran right up to her best over hurdles when third to Opposites Attract at Down Royal on Boxing Day; that looks strong form in the context of this race and if matching that looks sure to go close.
We head to Ayr for today’s NB and LILY’S GEM looks the one to beat in the novice hurdle. She was third in a good race on Boxing Day and if she’s in the same form she should prove hard to beat. She is yet to get off the mark over hurdles but has been set some tough asks and has obvious claims in this more realistic company. This ground suits too so she has plenty in favour. Aurora Thunder is the danger.
Daily Double
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Ayr and Chepstow on Monday. Both won yesterday and we landed a 3/1 double.
