It wasn’t just the way ROUGH NIGHT won over C&D last time that was so impressive but who he beat. Twotwothree was chasing a hat-trick and Darling Alko was also fresh off the back of a 22-length romp. That didn’t stop the selection staying on strongly to eventually win by 11 lengths. With the promise of more to come he is a confident selection to come out on top again. Joke Dancer won well last time but the race did rather fall in his lap. Even still he rates the biggest threat to the selection.

Kempton 3.45 Never Adapt (13/8)
Promising French recruit who ran an astonishing race on debut for this yard pulling hard and backing out of it before running on again; again refused to settle on return 29 days ago; could prove a cut above these especially if dropping her head.
This basically revolves around Barry Geraghty managing to settle NEVER ADAPT. She clearly has a big engine having run two eye-catching races to date but on both occasions she has pulled hard and raced freely. If she does learn to drop her head she will open her account. She is still very raw but has the experience of two runs under her belt now so is likely to improve again. Fin And Game ran well last time but will need more to figure here. Golden Taipan looks the biggest danger having defied a double penalty over C&D latest.
