A wind op coupled with the switch to David Brown looks to have done the trick for NATIONAL ANTHEM, who fairly bolted up over 6f here when last seen. He dominated off the front and never looked in any danger. Similar tactics are likely to be applied here and with further improvement on the cards now sent handicapping he looks a danger to all. My Excelsa also likes to go forward so it will be interesting to see who shows the better speed away from the gate. She won well last time but needs more in a better race here.

Completed a hat-trick of wins over fences before Christmas; not given a hard ride when second at Southwell and had excuses at Hereford; freshened up since and should take advantage of this lower mark over hurdles; looks worth chancing again.
Back over hurdles off a mark of just 93 HEAVENLY PROMISE looks a good bet to get herself back in the winners enclosure for Fergal O’Brien. She is a likeable sort who has been freshened up since finishing midfield at Hereford early last month. She can be keen so Connor Brace will look to get her settled early before hopefully bringing her through with a winning challenge. He has developed a nice partnership with the mare having rode her to success in those three wins over fences before Christmas.
