Good looking scopey sort who quickly made up into a useful hurdler winning at Chepstow and Haydock as a novice; needed the run on return/ chase debut in a hot race at Kempton and should strip much fitter now; open to improvement and looks a big player.
I think it’s safe to say THE BIG BITE was built to jump a fence! He is a big lump of a horse who should do well in this sphere given time. He is still just a 7yo and looked in need of the run on return when only fourth to Master Tommytucker. This looks easier and with the cobwebs blown away I’m expecting an improved display now. Obviously he has a bit to prove but I’m happy to give him the element of the doubt given how promising he looked as a youngster. Caribean Boy is the unknown factor in the race coming over from France but he’ll need to be pretty decent to win this. Cotswold Way looks the main danger on all known form.

Likeable type who kept finding when going down narrowly at Wolverhampton last time; beat a subsequent winner prior to that and has strong claims here with the blinkers on for the cheekpieces; likely to be given a bold sight off the front-end.
Despite not winning last time THE GAME IS ON comes here with a progressive looking profile and given he is likely to go hard from the front he might just prove tough to peg back! He beat Greengage at Wolverhampton two starts back and that horse has won since at Newcastle so his form stacks up. I jus think he’ll prove too strong for Fair Power who surprisingly was installed as favourite. He acts well here and is definitely a danger but was well held at Lingfield last time so has a bit to prove. Thechildren’strust is rather hit and miss but isn’t completely discounted.
