They’ve always thought a lot of EDWARDSTONE and he has certainly started fulfilling that promise beating a very good horse in Fiddlerontheroof at Wincanton before showing a likeable attitude to make it 2-2 at Aintree. The form stacks up and he remains an exciting proposition. He can take a strong hold so the hood should help him settle. Thebannerkingrebel has also done well since sent hurdling, winning three times with the one blemish on his record falling when in command at Wetherby. He is definitely a danger and has potential himself but might just be bumping into a more progressive horse.

Haydock 3.15 Pentland Hills (13/8)
Went from strength to strength over hurdles last season winning the Triumph impressively before following up at Aintree showing a good attitude to prevail; shaped like the best horse when fifth in the International and remains potentially high class.
We’re sticking with PENTLAND HILLS here following a highly encouraging return when fifth in the International. He looked the most likely winner heading into the last but just looked to blow up and should come on a great deal for that. He still has potential to go right to the top over hurdles and looks the most likely winner here. The vibes from the stable have been positive since which is also reassuring. Darasso is interesting for Joseph O’Brien and can chase the selection home. Cornerstone Lad lowered the colours of Buveur D’Air in the Fighting Fifth and isn’t completely dismissed but this looks tough.
