Elisha Whittington has impressed me lately looking very polished in the saddle so she is good value for her 3lb claim. She rides NELSON RIVER here and this gelding must have a good shout back off a handy mark in this discipline. It’s the furthest he would have faced on the Flat and that should play to his strengths. This doesn’t look an overly strong contest so he’s a confident selection to come out on top. Wanaasah went off a million miles an hour the last day and was not for catching but you’d be surprised if she managed to repeat the dose here. Even still she is one of the main dangers.

Ayr 2.25 Donna’s Delight (11/4)
Useful type over hurdles and matched that level over fences last term; needed the run on return at Carlisle but failed to back that up at Newcastle and subsequently had a wind op; stable going better now and should have more to offer.
We head to Ayr for our second tracker horse of the day and DONNA’S DELIGHT looks to have been found a good opportunity to get off the mark over fences. He is down to a mark of 115 now which looks extremely lenient if the wind op does the trick given he started in this discipline off a mark of 127. He is definitely capable of better so may well be worth chancing here. Diamond Brig is a multiple point winner and he bolted up on Rules debut at Kelso. He needed the run on return at Newcastle and looks the main threat with the promise of more to come. Speak Of The Devil is another to consider.
